Suicide Prevention Awareness

This is a free, introductory module for all staff at all levels and in all roles within the independent, private and third sector, including volunteers. (Staff working for Pembrokeshire County Council should complete the module housed on POD.)

This module aims to provide:

An understanding of suicide and suicide prevention in Wales
More awareness of factors that can increase risk
An understanding of how the learner can help
More confidence to signpost to support

Suicide and Self Harm Prevention NHS Wales Performance and Improvement

For people working with independent, private and third sector social care organisations: We suggest completing our free Universal Suicide Awareness e-module to provide a baseline understanding of the subject and context in Wales

The module is free and open access on our digital hub: or if you are an employee of the NHS, available through ESR ''Suicide Awareness''

Navigate online resource

The SSHP team are delighted to announce the launch of a new digital landing page called ''Navigate'': https://www.sshp.wales/en/navigate/

This page is intended to be a 'land and launch'' platform to provide those supporting others with easy access to trusted services and information on a range of key risk factors contributing to poor mental health and vulnerability to suicide.

The page has been co-developed by people working across sectors in Wales through user research workshops throughout the development and we would now like to gather feedback and comments on the site through a survey: Navigate - User Survey
